Day 1 - Christchurch

Christchurch is the gateway to New Zealand’s South Island. You’ll be welcomed at the airport and transferred to pick up your luxury Iconic Bolero Motorhome. While you’re in Christchurch you might like to visit some of the many boutique shops, markets, restaurants and bars.

Day 2 - Christchurch - Hokitika via Arthur’s Pass
244km - 3 hours

Travel to Hokitika via Arthur’s Pass, the highest and most spectacular pass across the Southern Alps. It’s a piece of extreme engineering involving viaducts, bridges, rock shelters and waterfalls.

Then head to the South Island’s West Coast, a slice of paradise that features rugged coastlines and untouched, native bush. Your next stop is Hokitika, known for its array of greenstone, gold and glassblowing shops.

Day 3 - Hokitika - Franz Josef Glacier
140km - 2 hours

Heading south through the majestic rainforest of the West Coast you will encounter coast, beach and mountains. Franz Josef Glacier is one of the most accessible glaciers and just one of two places in the world where you’ll see rainforest and glacier side by side.

Day 4 - Franz Josef Glacier – Wanaka
280km - 4 hours

En route to Wanaka visit Lake Matheson, where on a clear day it’s possible to see the reflection of New Zealand’s highest mountain - Mt Cook. The drive over the Haast Pass in the Aspiring National Park through to Wanaka is one of the prettiest and most dramatic journeys in the country. The walking possibilities are endless around Haast, featuring spectacular waterfalls and deep blue coloured pools. Stay in Wanaka, nestled below towering mountains and on the shore of the crystal clear waters of Lake Wanaka.

Day 5 - Wanaka - Te Anau
227km - 3 hours

Travel along the Crown Range, New Zealand’s highest highway, to Arrowtown, a historic gold rush town dating back to the 1860’s. Then travel to Te Anau, situated on the shores of New Zealand’s second largest lake, and the gateway to Fiordland National Park.

Day 6 - Te Anau - Milford Sound
118km - 2 hours

Be prepared for one of the jewels of the New Zealand landscape. Spectacular Milford Sound has been described as the eighth wonder of the world, famous for its majestic mountains, giant waterfalls and breathtaking vistas.

Day 7 - Milford Sound - Queenstown

Head to Queenstown by skirting your way around Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables Mountain Range, where a picture postcard photo opportunity can be found from every angle.

Day 8 & 9 - Queenstown

Queenstown has been dubbed the Adventure Capital of the World. Adrenaline pumping activities abound, all designed to make your stay absolutely unforgettable. You’ll have two full days in Queenstown to enjoy all the action this town offers.

Day 10 - Queenstown – Lake Tekapo via Mt Cook

Travel through the Kawarau Gorge and Cromwell and stop en route to sample New Zealand’s famous manuka honey products. Take a short walk at the foot of Mt Cook - New Zealand’s highest mountain. Stay in the town of Lake Tekapo on the banks of its turquoise coloured waters. Lake Tekapo is part of a UNESCO Dark Sky Reserve, making it the perfect spot for stargazing

Day 11 & 12 - Christchurch

Enjoy your final day of touring on the scenic route to Christchurch, before departing New Zealand on day 12.
